Our Mission . . . is to improve the physical, social and mental health of all women across the State of Minnesota by:

• Providing access to primary and specialty health care

• Educating health care professionals and communities in women's health

• Advancing knowledge in women's health through innovative research and making it available to women throughout metro, rural, immigrant and underserved communities

• Mentoring women health care students and professionals

• Strengthening family and community health by improving women's health.

• Over 175 research studies are in progress to improve and expand knowledge of women's health

• The University of Minnesota Academic Health Center fosters women leaders with women in positions such as: Dean of the Medical School, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dean of the School of Nursing and Assistant Vice President of Education

• We are part of the network of 19 National Centers of Excellence in Women's Health and collaborate on projects, share information and exchange ideas on all aspects of women's health - clinical, research, education, leadership and community outreach.
